We have spent over $500 in two days buying “gear”. Our first trip is next weekend and only three days and two nights. Do you know what $500 gets you for two nights in a hotel?? That’s room service and down blankets and most likely a small spa package if you are savvy. I just hope that we all love camping and we go at least a dozen more times to justify the list of purchases (that are still growing) and the space it will be taking up in our garage. Continue reading

Active Duty Dad’s are one of a kind
Today’s military family is different from those of the past. What use to be easily distinguished roles between husband and wife are now blurred past recognition. My father who turns 73 in a month served in the Navy in the late fifties. He loved the Navy and loves telling stories of his days on board ship. There were no women on his Carrier and his mindset was, “That’s how it should be.” His wife was to be at home raising children, cooking, and cleaning. Continue reading
ME vs THE JIGGLE Day 01. Aaaaand we’re off!
Today my super tornado cleaning skills and yard work will be my work out for the day. After which, I will do my 100 crunches and light weight arm workout. I’ll start weighing in weekly on Mondays. I don’t have a workout plan for the weekends, but I’m hoping just little hikes to the beach and back could count as something. The kids are home now, so we will see what can be done together.
