I was on the Ferry heading into Seattle and just happen to have my camera on me as the Stennis passed. Thought I’d share for any of those interested! It was an impressive sight…
I know my post are few and far between now that it’s summer. I wish I could tell you that I’m laying on a beach somewhere drinking fruity beverages with umbrellas in them, but I’m not. I’m taxiing my kids to three soccer practices and two dance classes a week. Normally, summers were “ours” and we didn’t have all of this running around. But, the kids are older and they have become committed to their passions. For my son, it’s soccer and for my daughter, it’s dance. I’m proud of their dedication, but I won’t lie. A deep, uninterruptible peaceful sleep.
The house is still. Our three dogs which usually don’t leave my side, are already tucked in. Yes, tucked in. My Chocolate Lab, Seanna, and my Chocolate Cocker, Emma, sleep on an extra large dog pillow at the foot of my bed. Every night I tell them to, “lay down” and I cover them up with a fleece blanket that they happily share. Maxim, my 4 1/2 pound Yorkie sleeps next to me…under the covers and against my left leg. He’s already in the bed, probably on my pillow, waiting for me to move him from his throne. Continue reading
